I had to have my vehicle towed to my job across the street, I contacted checkered flag and *** ( my warranty company) and they said they would try to help me. I went to priority on febuary 2nd and they inspected my vehicle and stated I needed a new engine, that it would cost ****** and that my extended warranty is refusing to cover cost. I scheduled an appointment at the newport news location on the 29th to get the engine inspected but they refused to look at the vehicle sent me to priority chevrolet. I scheduled appointments at the checkered flag in norfolk 25th by my house, they told me that despite setting and confirming the appointment i would have to take it back to the shop i bought the vehicle. On January 20th my check engine light came on. I purchased this vehicle cash from checkered flag in newport news in november. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else but I'm sure it will. Recommendation of this business will never come from me and I have already notified many friends and family to avoid business here so they don't end up in my situation. This has overall been a horrible experience and at times overwhelming. The check wasn't written to me it was written to my loan provider.
Paying the statement doesn't change the fact that I had to stress for months about the situation and had to fight them to even get the payments.
The only reason they are paying the monthly statement is because they got caught doing illegal business. We are going to be mailing him a check for the amount of his 3 payments that he has made on this vehicle, since we are still waiting on the title. We have resolved the situation with the customer. Sub-standard business practices and illegal acts were committed. I'm severely disappointed in the conduct of this company and will not do business with them again as soon as the title is received and my compensation comes through. I have spent countless hours in the phone trying to resolve things between them, my loan provider, and legal aids to see what can happen to help me during the process. I've been going back and forth with them for almost 2 months now and they have finally agree to pay the car loan until title is received but that does not fix the headaches and constant worrying of if they were going to follow through. They did not want to put in the leg work to actually make it happen so I had to deal with the consequences. (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)ħ months is more than ample time to request and receive a duplicate title. We have been applying and applied again for another duplicate title for this vehicle to get this vehicle titled and registered. Due to circumstances beyond our control we are currently waiting on a duplicate title from the DMV because we have had issues getting ahold of the previous customer to get a copy of the title.
